Computers

Computers what a nightmare, Tried for a number of hours trying to upload music to my msn space, after lots of web searching to try and find a website to host my music and then having to figure out how to use HTML format, anyway i surprised myself and eventually did manage to get my music into my space after many headaches and screaming at the computer. Its amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it, so never give up because you can do what ever it is your trying to do, just have a little patience and you like i will get there in the end, good luck.

Exercise

My son decided to cycle to work yesterday which i found very unusual considering he has his wheels now. kids they surprise you at every corner, he said (it was boring driving so I'm going to go on the bike because it's more fun) it's a pity in this day and age that more people didn't see it that way then we would have a lot less cars on the road and in the process be a lot fitter in our self's. maybe we should take time to listen to the younger generation we might be pleasantly surprised. Teenagers can some times be classed as lazy i don't think cycling over 4miles is lazy do you?.

Just another Day

Well another day has passed spent most of it doing the last minute shop for my daughters big trip as she leaves at the beginning of July, another day closer to my daughter going to Kenya excitement for her, 3 weeks of worry for me but i wouldn't have it any other way. A house full of kids but if i blink i miss them my son wasn't up when i left this morning but wasn't here when i got back went cruising in his car he's living his life which is good.but i cant help thinking my god they grow so fast(which can make you feel a bit old sometimes).

It's been a strange day today a kind of solom day, deep thoughts and thinking of how quick the years really do go by. I saw an elderly lady with a walking stick just going about her business slow in her pace but nibble to. I looked at this lady for a number of minutes thinking back to when i was in my twenty's and i used to look at women my age and think i have ages before i get that old, but now i am that woman i really don't feel old, and this time when i looked at an elderly women i didn't think i will never be that old, my thought was my god it goes far to quick and made a promise to myself to live each and every day as tho it were my last because as we all know this is not a rehearsal , this is it. so lets live a little and laugh even more. keep smiling.

Art Expedition

Well have just arrived back from the college my son and daughter attend, they had a art and design expedition for private viewing. Art and design being the course my daughter is currently doing. what an eye opener the varied display of items from fashion to photography some of the displays were very eye opening i personally loved the black and white photography the most.

Some of the art students including my daughter had donated pieces of art "photos, ceramics" to be bid on by the public and the proceeds being donated to the students fund of which has once helped my daughter, so it was nice for her to be able to give something back to the fund. a brilliant job by all the student's, one of the students received £1000 turner prize for her drawings well done to Jenny. I was all so nicely surprised to see some new work by my daughter which I'd not seen before "fantastic".

Great News

On a much nicer note my son will be going to uni this September he got excepted to a few but has chosen Preston which is still close to home so I'm happier about that, he also passed his driving test of which i was also proud he now has his cruising wheels lol "his words".
My Daughter will be going to Kenya to do volunteer work out there helping the villages build dams to save the children walking miles to collect water "she is very excited but a bit nervous as well" the paperwork involved has been a bit of a nightmare to say the least but we got there in the end and if we have not forgotten anything she is all ready for the challenge, well done after many emails and interviews she finally is living her dream. Am very proud of all my kids I now need to help my other daughter with any expectations or dreams she may have in the future.and then my job as mum is only partly done because i will always be MUM !!! well done kids am so so proud love you all xxx

Me at 40

Well as many of you know I've just turned 40 on the 2ND of may, they say life begins at 40 and your sex drive is at it's highest, well yes it does begin at 40, as for the second part i think I'll keep that one to myself lol xx

If there was one thing or one word that you could really say makes your day what would it really be? would it be trust love a breath. maybe all of these but the up most important word for myself anyway is LAUGHTER yep simple laughter, with out it yes there is joy and love but with it there's happiness etc..."Laughter is the best medicine... for unseen wounds". Take time to laugh, it is the music of the soul. Take time to think, it is the source of power. Take time to read, it is the fountain of wisdom. Take time to love and be loved.
Isn't there a quote that goes something like live well, love much laugh often? The more you laugh the better you feel..the more you love the more you are loved in return. So keep smiling.

The Final Analysis

People are often unreasonable, self-centred: Forgive them anyway. If you are Honest, People may cheat you, but be Honest anyway. What you spend years to build, someone could destroy overnight. Build anyway. The good you do today, People will often forget tomorrow. Do Good anyway. You see, in the final analysis it is between you and that big thing called conscience ; it never was between you and other people anyway.

Take a deep breath and try to think about something other than what you are worrying about.
If that doesn't work, then just stop thinking altogether.

If your days seem filled with unwanted negative feelings, there is only one cure. When they come, choose them. Don't ask why, don't wonder how, don't fight them and never put yourself down for having them. But most of all never blame someone else for how you feel. If you do, it means you are still fast asleep and your choice is to be a victim.

Let Be

Many of us spend most of our life trying to live someone else's life. We are great fixers, and as we watch others we can hear ourselves attempting to 'sort them out'. We hear it in our conversations with others and with ourselves. It sounds like, "They shouldn't...weren't they awful...did you hear about so and so...in my opinion they should". In these moments we waste time trying to write the script of others and forget to write our own. We have no right to write another script and any attempt to do so is futile, frustrating and doomed to failure. So let be, and taste the freedom from the subtle tensions and anxieties about others by letting them write their own script. Don't miss your life by trying to live someone else's.

Miss Everything

You can only be in one place at any moment in time. If you feel you are missing out on something then you are. But it's not the party, or being with another person that you're missing, it's your own life. As long as you are thinking of where you could be, you are marking yourself absent from where you are now. Which means you are nowhere. Many people spend their entire life in 'nowhere'. Not a wise choice!
